Who says we don't have seasons in Los Angeles? These red leaves and the 1/2-inch of rain we got on Sunday are all the signs of the season I need. We just got back from Thanksgiving in Chicago where it rarely climbed above freezing. I will take 70 and sunny any day of the year.

This dress from Banana Republic is such a classic shape and fits so well I got it in two colors. You can't go wrong with white and black, but it's also available in blue. Not living in Los Angeles? Throw on some leggings and boots and make the dress work into winter.

If you're French, à la mode means in the current style. If you're me, it means that whatever you've just ordered is coming with ice cream.

Ice cream. That's what I like to think of each time I throw on this pullover. It's made from viscose, rayon and spandex so it's super stretchy and chic...not your typical sweatshirt. And the white? It goes with just about everything.

We're sneaking in the last few days of sunny, warm weather here in Los Angeles – at least the last few days until we get our first winter heat wave - beach day in December anyone? A sun baby through and through, I'm soaking it all in before heading to the Midwest for Thanksgiving. Brrrrr.
